火灾现场的温度分布可以客观反映火灾发生、发展、熄灭的过程，对灭火救援、火灾事故调查都具有重大意义。但是由于技术手段的缺乏，无法有效获取火灾现场温度分布数据。随着红外热成像仪技术的成熟，使获得火灾现场温度分布数据成为可能，也使利用火场温度协助灭火救援、认定火灾原因成为可能。
Fire Fighting
In fire fighting, infrared thermal imagers are used to determine the location of the center of the fire, the extent of combustion and spread. The thermal imager is used to observe the fire scene, get the fire burning and spreading situation, and determine the central location of the fire. Based on the information obtained, the fire commander can then correctly arrange the forces and effectively fight the fire.
